Sadly Buddy died a few days before Christmas after a very short illness. He was 23 yrs old, and had been with us since he was 3 yrs old. He will be sadly missed as he was an exceptional character, loved by our riders, volunteers and particularly the staff.
He was ridden on most RDA session, by newcomers who he looked after very well. If a more experienced rider rode him he always gave an enjoyable ride.
Congratulations Mitchell. He was awarded the Sports Personality of the Year at a Celebratory Ceremony within Royal Greenwich Council. He earned the award because of his success at the RDA National Dressage Competition, for his volunteering work at New Lodge RDA, and his general riding work with us.
The RDA National Dressage Competition took place from 14th to 16th July at Hartpury College in Gloucestershire and we were represented by Max Davis and Mitchell Eddison. Both put in excellent performances on the very long day. They were riding a horse belonging to Penniwells RDA Group, called Brandy, so it was not a familiar horse to compete on and they both did extremely well.
Max won his Countryside Challenge class with a score of 91.5%. He was also the Class Champion. Very well done Max.
Mitchell was 8th in his Dressage Class, and was 4th in his Countryside Challenge class.
